🚔 Joint Agency Operation Targets Illegal Activity Across Wigan Borough This week, a joint operation involving Greater Manchester Police, Trading Standards, Immigration Enforcement, and the Local Housing Authority was carried out following information provided by local residents. Several premises were visited across the area. During an inspection of a shop in Beech Hill, a significant quantity of illegal cigarettes was discovered and seized with the assistance of a specialist detection dog. Trading Standards are now progressing the matter. Two further shops in Hindley were also inspected as part of the operation, with all partner agencies working together to tackle criminality and help keep our communities safe. 👏 We would like to thank members of the public who continue to provide information and intelligence. Community information plays a vital role in helping us identify issues, target problem locations, and carry out enforcement activity. If you have concerns about illegal activity in your area, please continue to report information anonymously via Crimestoppers: 📞 0800 555 111 Together, we can make our communities safer. #NeighbourhoodPolicing #WorkingTogether #CommunitySafety #Hindley #BeechHill #WiganBorough #Teamwork #Crimestoppers
